"How
I
Break All the Rules and
Make Thousands Each Month Selling Information
Products"
And How You Can
Too!
Pensacola, Florida Wednesday, 1:46 p.m.
Dear Friend,
Arrogance.
Have you seen it on the Internet?
I sure have.
I'm talking about the carloads of self-proclaimed "gurus" out there who want your money to tell you how to sell products on the Information Superhighway. Don't get me wrong. I think selling on the Internet is a great idea. I've done it myself for years.
|
Management
training should focus on skills that add value to the organization.
Sales
and leadership training can help companies to stay competitive in today’s business world. Also strong sales
training
and
presentation skills
training are good ways to succeed. |
What frosts my jaw, though, is the absolute arrogance of these same people in certain popular Internet discussion forums (I'll tell you how to find the best ones a little later).
They'll post a public question asking why nobody is coming to their website and request some tips on what they can do to bring in more traffic. Then they include a link to their site.
And do you know what their site usually is?
How to sell products on the Internet! They don't know how to sell their own product, yet they want you to pay them money to show
you how to do it!
Is that unmitigated gall or what?
My
name is Dennis Hessler and I'm in the international trade information business.
I've been in this business for almost 10 years now.
My company, Spyglass Point Productions, sells a range of books, video tapes, computer software and newsletters on how to get started in the import-export business. If you want to check out my site, just
But I'm not trying to get you interested in international trade. Not here. Not now.
I just wanted you to know that I'm a real person selling real information products. And, oh yeah, I'm making real money.
And
that's
why it upsets me so much to read information publishing wanna-be's selling information on how to make money doing something they've never done!
And they're selling bad information. But that's not the worst of it.
The worst of it is this information gets recycled and appears in print and on CD-ROMs and sold to other poor unsuspecting souls so people - good people, people like you - start to believe it's gospel.
And it ain't.
So when I finally got tired of it, I decided to do something .
Every day for months I made it a point to keep a notebook by my side and I wrote down the myths I debunked that day.
It was kind of fun, actually.
Then I would write the argument
for that particular myth and compose a small chapter of information based upon my
real-world-examples-because-I've -really-done-it experiences and put them in a handsome little collection.
I
don't lie and I don't sugar coat in this book. This is the straight skinny, warts and all, from somebody who's really doing it and really making money.
Am I rich? Well, I 'm not where I want to be. Not yet.
But I'm earning more and more each year doing something I want to do, performing a valuable service, making a nice income while living a lifestyle I enjoy.
And you can too. No hype. You can do it if you want to.
Hey, I really appreciate the fact that you've stayed with me this far, so I'm going to give you
a little gift. If you
click here, you'll go to a page with an article I wrote a while ago called "You Don't Get it by Dreaming."
I included this in my international trade newsletter as a result of all the clamoring for a lottery ticket drawing in Michigan some years back. Some guy said if he won, he'd have the American Dream.
What a crock.
My friends,
I have the American Dream. Because I live in this great country, I'm able to build my own business, work at a job I like and earn a nice income too. That's the American Dream.
Click here to check out the article, but make sure you come back.
What's the name of this book I'm so proud of?
Enough of the suspense.
The book is called
39 Myths About How to Make Money Selling Information Products
or How I Break All the Rules and Make Thousands Every Month.
"This is the straight skinny,
warts & all, from somebody who is really doing it & really making money
doing it on the Internet. (That's the part where I learned some valuable
lessons.) -- Whether you are already in the Information Publishing business ...
or just thinking about it ... this book will save
you a lot of time & improve your bottom line immediately."
-- J.F. "Jim" Straw, Business Lyceum,

the full review of this e-book by Millionaire Mailorder Marketer J.F. "Jim"
Straw.
"Dennis Hessler tells the truth about the business, precisely as it is. He mercilessly
blows away some of the most beloved over-hyped myths about how it is to be a successful infopreneur. Dennis clearly shows his readers the way to go. Instead of just accepting what has become universal law among infopreneurs, he tries to take a more objective view over the business and let his own concrete experiences decide the way to go.
I found this book to be one of the most exciting and inspiring books I've read on the subject. ... it's not only unique, but also EXTREMELY helpful! Actually, I consider it to be
one of the most important books I have in my library, on creating and marketing information
products." --
Klaus Dahl, The Direct Marketing Review,
http://www.klausdahl.com/
"I really liked the 39 Myths. It was hilarious, it made a lot of sense and it was in an easy to read CONCISE
format, which I really liked. So many products today are hundreds upon hundreds of pages of gobbledygook -- images, "how this book works" filler, etc. -- that it was just a pleasure reading yours." --
Harmony Major, http://ExpertOnEbiz.com
"I'm now reading page 62, but decided to stop to
thank you for your great work. Your writing style is refreshing and the
info is quite eye-opening. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere,
and it's something I will highly recommend to others. -- Manuel
Viloria, http://www.viloria.com
And because I just started offering this book, I'm including a nice little bonus (yeah, I talk about bonuses in the book too).
For a limited time - meaning, until I'm swamped - I'm including an online consulting service for buyers of this package.
For 6 months, I will respond to any of your information publishing questions via email. I'll tell you what I think of your product, your website, your sales material, your ideas. Anything. But only for 6 months. After that, I get expensive. Usually, I'll get back to you the same day.
I know you're busy. So one of the things I did in this book is highlight the text so you can make a quick read through, then go back and peruse it at your leisure.
What? You don't have an information product to market? Or you don't know how to write it (or film it or record it) and you don't know where to start?
Not to worry! In the Bonus Resources section, I give you not only some of the product resellers I use, but resources for developing and producing your own profit-making information products.
By way of another bonus, I'm including a list of my favorite online and offline resources including my favorite ways to
develop multiple income streams (important if you're an information publisher or any other kind of entrepreneur), resources for
developing your own information products, best online forums with FREE information that you can turn into cash, my favorite (read: cheap or free)
ways to get the word out about my products,
tools I use such as web hosting (I even show you a real program to help you do it for nothing!), list server, order-taking service, and more.
This isn't just a directory I compiled from other sources. These are products I use, services I take advantage of and sites I visit on a regular basis. Why is this important? BECAUSE I'M MAKING MONEY and if you want to do the same, you might be well advised to follow my example. At least when you're starting out. Doesn't that make sense?
You'll learn about a program I use (and sell today) that increased my Internet profits 1,000 per cent!
And here's just some of the information you'll find in the meat of the book itself.
· Should you use a PO Box or street address? I'll tell you which one I use
and why (Myth 2).
* The simple but seldom-mentioned technique that produces 75 per cent of my sales (Myth 2)
* Should you write your own material or sell other people's stuff? Or both? I'll tell you what works for me and why it will probably work for you too (Myth 4).
* I once used a 1-800 number for orders. I don't anymore. Should you? Maybe. I'll tell you why (Myth 6 and 28 - yeah, I put it in there twice!).
* How one simple cancellation increased my net income by $1,000 a year (Myth 6)
Are you starting to see how it works? If you're already in the information publishing business or just thinking about it, this book will save you a lot of time and improve your bottom line immediately.
Here's more.
* I'll tell you what my biggest single sales source is. Hint: it's not the Internet, direct mail, magazine advertising, distributors, or press releases. Give up? Believe me, most of the other "information gurus" out there don't know either. But you can. Go to Myth 7.
* The way to make money in the information business can be boiled down to a single 10-letter word. It's so important that I want you to write it on a card and hang it over your desk (but you'll have to go to Myth 8 to find out what it is)
* Why such trendy catch phrases like "think outside the box" don't mean a thing to your bottom line if you don't follow my hard-learned lessons discussed in Myth 10
Is the Internet the secret to riches in the new millennium? Yep (Myths 11, 12, 15,39), nope (Myth 12,38), maybe (Myth 12,13,22,34). Do I sound like I'm contradicting myself? Not at all. People who tell you that you'll make your fortune on the Internet are wrong. The ones who tell you that you don't need the Internet are also wrong. But there's a broad middle ground and I'll show you how to walk it.
* What are the "three little words" that make all the difference between having a successful business and not having one. I'll give you a clue: the words are NOT "I love you." But they're close. You'll discover what they are and why this phrase is so important in Myth 17.
* Do you think a communication style isn't important? I beg to differ and I've got the stories (and some of 'em are ugly!) to back me up. Details in Myth 17.
* Wild promises. Should you make them in your sales material? More importantly, do they work? I'd love to tell you the answer but you'll have to read Myth 18.
Is there a "pagan information god" out there who jerks us around just because he (she?) likes to watch us suffer? Or what about the theory of alien space ships orbiting the Earth? Has the cheese slipped off my cracker? Nope. There are some interesting explanations for why business goes up and down and many of these theories just defy logic. But then, so does the business of marketing information.
I'll help you make it more logical.
* Does it pay to give away information? Yep, sure does. Sometimes. Learn when and how in Myth 19.
Okay,
you develop this great information product. Now you sit down and write a sales letter that can't be resisted highlighting all the benefits in your one-of-a-kind product, right? Sure, you can do it that way. If you don't want to sell anything. I'll tell you the way I got 25 per cent of my customers to buy one of my new products in Myth 21.
* Do you need to spend money on advertising? How much? My answer will almost certainly surprise you - and bust open Myth 23 in the process.
* How do you blast away the competition so you get ALL the business? You don't. Does that surprise you? It surprised me too. Learn what I learned in Myth 24.
* Do you know that Russians sometimes use peanut butter as axle grease? You say you don't care? Maybe you will after reading about the importance (or unimportance?) of originality in Myth 25.
* Be nice. That's what your mother taught you, right? Good for you - but you may miss the sale. No, I don't want you to be nasty either. But you may be interested in how I increased sales 50 per cent just by being pushy. I explain it all while debunking Myth 26.
*
Learn how I increased sales by 25 per cent by sending out a simple letter every month. I still do it. The secret is contained in Myth 27.
Yes, it's true, I could work in my pajamas every day if I wanted (if I wore pajamas) and that's just one of the benefits of running your own business. On the other hand, watch as I gleefully, manfully smash some other myths about running a home-based business in Myth 29.
Are you worried that bad people will steal your material and resell it after all the hard work and time you expended developing it?
In Myth 30 I'll tell you my experiences and how to deal with this very common concern among new information publishers.
Why did the new information publisher bellyache about the fact that he only made $3,500 in his first month selling his new information video? The sad and ugly details are contained in Myth 31.You won't want to miss it.
Okay, I've told you time and again about the all-important 10-letter word and the
"3 little words" that are important to success. In Myth 32, I give you the most important rule of success and I
guarantee (and I don't say that often) if you follow it, you will be successful.
Learn how springtime tulips and hyacinths taught me a lesson that kept me in business when any normal person would have quit (Myth 33). And you'll also learn why my wife is such a frustrating gardener. I'll leave it up to you to guess
which lesson will put money in
your pocket.
You've got to spend money to make money, right? Not me. I smash this overrated myth in Myth
23 and tell you about the one decision I made that increased my net income from 20 per cent of gross sales to 80 per cent and put thousands more in my pocket. Learn how to limit returns of your products to zero and how cheerleading can be a very productive use of your time in Myth 35. Rah-rah, siss-boom-bah!
There are LOTS of things you can do to increase the PERCEIVED value of your information product. Some of them are obvious. But the most effective low-cost bonus you can give to buyers is offered by almost nobody. Except me. And it's the single best bonus I've ever used in terms of increasing sales. I tell you what it is in Myth 36.
I'm not going to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about making the Internet work for you.
There's just too much and there are people (I tell you who they are) who are lots smarter than
I. I will give you some of my best Internet success stories and the one simple task I do every single day that brings lots of visitors to my site. But hardly anyone else does it! Why? I dunno. I tell you what it is in Myth 38.
Hey, I'm not some grumpy old guy
who spends all his time debunking myths. There are a few things everyone says that, darn it, I think are true too. This is a much smaller list but I include it with this package. For instance, you'll discover . . .
. . . that advertising works but how does that fit in with my heartfelt desire to spend no money on advertising? Heh-heh. I'll give you the secret in Truth 1.
I'm not going to tell you what Truth 2 is, but I
will tell you a secret since you've spent so much time reading this far down. Read Truth 2 BEFORE you read anything else. Yep, start way down at Truth 2 (it's on page 113 so you can find it easily), then go back and read everything else. You'll understand when you read it.
Are credit cards important? How do I deal with them? Learn the wondrous mysteries in Truth 3.
Truth 4 relates an ugly episode that happened to a business associate of mine. I learned from his mistake. You can
too.
Do testimonials really help or is this just another bull-hockey myth? Maybe they do. If they're done right. See Truth 5.
How much does all this insider information cost?
If you came to one of my seminars, I would charge you $199 for the information contained here. And, sure, you could see me in the flesh (lucky you!) and ask me questions but when the seminar was over, I'd be gone.
But when you place your order for
39 Myths About How to Make Money Selling Information Products or How I Break All the Rules and Make Thousands Every
Month, I'll email you the e-book as soon as your order is processed, usually the same day.
The other advantage of this book over a seminar is
you get to ask me questions not only the first day, but every day for six
months. Yep, my hard-earned knowledge is yours to share, at least until I get so swamped by queries that I have to cancel this special bonus service. But I promise that if you order today, right now, you will receive:

personal
resource list with links to money-making sites, web hosting services, shopping cart programs, how-to books and manuals, best online forums, publicity sites and more. 4. For a limited time, my
online consulting
service. I will answer your questions and review websites and your material and give you my comments.
(Don't get me wrong here. I'm not going to write 20-page opinions on your new video but I will review it and I will tell you what I think along with some ideas on how to market it.)
Whew, that's a pretty nice package. The regular cost is $59.95 and my wife says I'm nutty to give it away for that amount.
So
please don't tell her that during this special introductory period, I will be selling it for only $39.95. That's right. $39.95 for specific experienced-based tips, strategies and money-making how-to's from yours truly along with an online consulting service, resources . . . hmm, maybe my wife is right.
